The Immunetics Miniblotter MN8 is a multichannel device for processing up to 8 antibodies simultaneously on an intact blot produced with the Pharmacia Phast System. The patented Miniblotter eliminates the difficulties associated with cutting individual strips of membrane for each test. Instead, all tests are performed in parallel lanes on a single, uncut blot. Wash steps are carried out with a detachable manifold, enabling the user to rapidly wash all lanes on the blot simultaneously. 

1. Mount an uncut membrane carrying electrophoresed antigens from a preparative-style gel from the Pharmacia Phast System in the MN8.
2. Pipet 70 µl (ex. hybridoma supernatant from a 96 well culture plate) directly into the Miniblotter channels.
3. Incubate the MN8 for 30 minutes on a rocker table.
4. Remove excess antibody solution by attaching the Miniblotter Manifold and connecting it to a vacuum source.
5. Add buffer and wash the channels.
6. Pipet enzyme conjugated secondary antibody into the Miniblotter channels and incubate again for 30 minutes.
7. Remove the membrane from the Miniblotter, rinse with buffer and develop with enzyme substrate.

• Eight channels require only 70 µl of sample each.
• Dimensions compatible with Pharmacia Phast System:
• Channel dimension: 2.5 mm x 4.3 cm
• Blot width covered: 4.3 cm x 5 cm
• The lanes are matched to a standard Pharmacia eight-tooth comb.
• A preparative-style sample application comb is also available that can be used to apply a single antigen across the width of the gel for screening purposes.
• Washing Manifold available for simultaneously washing of all channels.
• Results on a single membrane are compared easily without switching or breaking of strips.
• Antibody binding can be detected by all conventional methods including chemiluminescence and enzyme conjugates.
