Current Employment Opportunities

Product Development Scientist - Infectious Diseases

Working with a small group of scientists and external collaborators, you will participate in development of infectious disease assays for clinical and blood screening applications which address major public health priorities.  This position involves hands-on assay development, documentation and validation.  You will also work closely with QA and regulatory personnel to transfer developed products to manufacturing. 

Requires a degree in a Life Science and 5+ years of assay development experience in an FDA-regulated environment, preferably with microbiology/infectious disease immunoassays.  Strong biochemistry/immunochemistry bench skills including ELISA development, protein gels and blots, organic synthesis, enzyme conjugation, peptide chemistry, and rapid tests are desirable.  Background in microbiology and blood products experience a plus.  Experience with the entire commercialization process would be helpful in transferring products to manufacturing, ensuring GMP compliance, and supporting 510(k)-level clinical trials.
